Meet Libby, one of our beloved sanctuary girls who’s been part of the Hank’s Haven family since January 2022.

Libby’s journey began all the way in Georgia, where she was found with a large tumour on her hip. She made the long trip to us for a chance at a better life and underwent surgery to remove the tumour. While most of it was successfully removed, her tests showed a few remaining cancer cells, meaning there’s a chance it could return in the future.

In addition to her cancer concerns, Libby was also found to have a heart murmur, so her health requires regular monitoring and extra love and care. Because of this, it was decided that Libby would remain with us as a sanctuary dog, living out her days in comfort and surrounded by the family and friends she adores — including her best friend, Bella.

Libby’s ongoing care includes:
Nutritious food and treat (starting at around $80.00 a month) 
Annual vet visits and medical monitoring (starting at around $250 annually)
Transportation to and from appointments
Prescription medications as needed
