Hey! I’m Bubba and I love to snuggle. I came to Canada from Georgia and I'm an Australian Cattle Dog cross! I’m still not sure about this snow stuff but I do not mind the cold. I love to meet all kinds of humans. I like it when we pass them on our walks and I especially like it when they come to our house to visit. My Foster Mom has introduced me to some kids and they were the best to play with. I really liked that they got down on the floor and played with me. If you would let me up on your couch or in your bed I would be soooo happy that I would wag my tail for you and sit right in your lap. My Foster Mom has been teaching me to stay off her furniture so we spend a lot of time sitting on the floor together. My Foster Mom lets me sleep in her room but I have my own bed. I like to go to bed early so Foster Mom takes me out before she goes to bed and then I crawl right back into my bed until morning. My Foster Mom takes me outside to do my business but if I need to go out I will let her know by going to the front door or whimpering while looking at the door. I haven’t had any accidents in the house at all. I do sometimes get carsick if we go for longer drives but short drives of 15 minutes or less are fine by me. And even if I do some times get sick, that doesn’t mean that I don’t love the car. I would go in it everyday if I could. I really love people but I really don't like other dogs. I have met a few smaller ones that I like to bark at and their humans don’t appreciate it so Foster Mom pulls me back. My Foster Mom is working on this reactive leash issue I walk really well except for when I see other dogs. Then I try and get to them really quickly. My Foster Mom says I’m getting better with it but I do get kind of excited. I’m also learning different words from foster mom. So far I’m really good with “sit” and “leave it” but these other words like “lie down” or “walk nice”, I’m not too sure I know what they mean. I just look at Foster mom and wag my tail when she says these things. I have a crate that I like to go in when the door is open. If you could leave it open for me I would appreciate it. I get a little nervous and sad when you close it. Foster mom thinks I might not need a crate since I don’t chew things that I shouldn’t. I like to play with my toys (especially the rubber kind that look like balls). When my Foster mom leaves me (for short periods of time) I just sit by the door and wait for her to come back. Foster mom and I have lots of fun together and I just loooove to sit on her lap and have her pet me. If she’d let me, I’d shower her with kisses too. My Foster mom has a smallish backyard but I think I could do zoomies if it was a little bigger. I really like to run back and forth from one end to the other. I’ll even chase a ball if you throw it but sometimes I get distracted and run right by it. I am leash reactive to other dogs. My Foster Mom has been working tirelessly on this issue with me and I am getting better. This will be something my adoptive family will have to continue to work on and will have to agree to get help from a trainer. I, Bubba, need to be the only pet. I am approximately 1 years old, 44lbs, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on my vaccines. If you would like to adopt me pls apply at: www.hankshaven.ca
