Let us reintroduce Laz (Adoption Fee WAIVED) Lazarus joined us in February 2025 alongside his littermate, Otis, after being rescued from a neglectful home. Some of their siblings went to Mattie’s Place —and every one of them has found a home… except for Laz. Laz is truly a great dog. Like many dogs who didn’t get the structure and socialization they needed early on, he can be fearful and a bit unsure of new people. He does have some “stranger danger,” but with proper introductions (and a few treats!), he warms up every single time. Since being in foster, Laz has been putting in the work! He completed a tricks class at Nordik K9 and attends daycare at KNine Care weekly to continue building his confidence and social skills—and he’s been doing amazing. Laz is looking for a dog-savvy adopter who understands that building trust takes time. In return, you’ll get an incredibly smart, deeply loyal companion. A quieter home would suit him best—something low traffic without lots of people coming and going. He could do well with a calm, neutral dog of similar or larger size, or as your one-and-only. No cats for Laz—he will chase. His adoption fee has been waived.
