Sweet little spitfire Nola is now ready for adoption!  You may remember when she came to us, she had a badly broken leg that was fixed, and developed a secondary infection.  She had a long road to recovery, but is now able to go to her forever home!

Nola is a one year old miniature bull terrier, coming in at 30 lbs.  She is house and crate trained, and knows sit, shake, lay down, come, go to bed, and leave it (food) both with verbal commands and hand signals. She is people and kid friendly.

She gets very excited and forgets herself when people come to the door, and will jump up on people and get mouthy with them.  This is something that is still being worked on while in foster, but further training will be needed with potential adopters.

Nola loves to go for walks, she will pull for the first little bit, but once she settles in then she walks nicely.  She will pull when passing people as she wants to go visit, and will sometimes bark at other dogs passing by.

Nola is on a raw diet, and should remain on one in her new home.  She has some allergies, and had very itchy, flaky skin and bald patches.  Since being on a raw diet she has been much better.

Nola is a funny little clown dog, she does everything at full throttle, and is guaranteed to make you laugh with her antics, from hitting herself in the face with her toys to trying to chase flies.

Nola gets along with other dogs, and listens to corrections from them, however, in her personal space she will need to be the only dog.  She does not like to share her people, or toys, and wants all the love and attention.  She is a cat chaser, and has a laser focus on small caged pets, so she should be the only pet in the home.  On the flip side, she does love to have play time outside of her own territory, so after introductions she would love to have play dates with some dog friends!

If you think that Nola would be a good fit for you please visit www.hankshaven.ca to fill out an adoption application.
