Fostered in Severn, ON

Betty’s foster mom had this to say about her, “Betty is full of love, snuggles, and playfulness. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loyal and affectionate. She thrives with other dogs and has the sweetest soul. She is also HILARIOUS and finds EVERYTHING you do SO interesting. She will just stare and do her famous head tilts the whole time you’re eating just because she is so curious. I am so proud of how far she has come. She truly finds joy in every day even when she is super scared. She has persevered and deserves only the best.

Betty LOVES playing with her foster sisters and she loves hoarding all the toys. She will collect them all and bring them to her crate or under the bed. She also enjoys chewing on benebones.”

Dog and cat friendly ✅
Betty has been exposed to both dogs and cats. She gets along well with them and benefits greatly from having confident, playful dogs around her.

Small children ❌ Betty is not recommended for homes with small children. Fast movements and loud voices frighten her and may increase her anxiety.

Betty is extremely timid with new people, regardless of gender. She takes a long time to warm up to strangers, but with patience and consistency, she blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion.

Betty basically spent her puppy early stages in the shelter she’s still a young girl, but she’s missed a lot of that critical early socialization and exposure that a normal puppy would get. She’s been with us since she was approximately 9 months old and she’s come along way. Betty's main challenge is her fearfulness, particularly with new people and unfamiliar environments.

Crate trained ✅ house trained ✅

She is still working on her leash manners Due to her fear she needs to be double leashed and new environments approached slowly so she continues to build confidence without breaching her threshold.

Betty sleeps in a crate at night and has no issues throughout the night. When left alone she goes in her crate with no issues, she actually loves her crate!

Car rides ✅

No food or toy aggression exhibited ✅

All adopters are offered complimentary training with our certified and accredited trainer
