Hi, my name is Elly! I am a mixed breed and am approximately 2 years old. I weigh aprox 42lbs. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccines, and am microchipped. Not a lot is known about my prior life in Georgia. I spent my days wandering the streets. I was known as the town greeter! Everyone knew my name, and the community fed me. I spent my nights indoors. Then, I made the move to Canada.I was nervous the first few days in my foster home. I adjusted quite quickly.  I sleep in my own bed in foster moms bedroom (she invites me onto the bed, but the cats up there and he scares me). When my foster mom feeds us, we all eat in our crates. We don't have any food aggression. My foster mom wants to ensure we all eat our own food and stay focused. When my Foster Mom goes to work, I spend the day in my crate with some chew toys, a kong with peanutbutter and treats. I like my crate and happily go in. I sometimes go in there in the evening when I need a break or feel over whelmed. When foster mom comes home, I am so happy and eagerly wait for a good belly rub. Omg I love belly rubs, I  routinely drop and roll over, looking for one. If the other dogs get too rough with me, I do this as well. Foster mom says I'm submissive, whatever that means. We go for a walk with a pack of multiple dogs, all different sizes and temperaments. I love to walk, and when I see the harness, that I use to be scared of (I've never worn a harness or coat before), I  get so excited. I walk well on leash, I don't pull, I easily change direction when foster mom asks, however I do like to stop and smell. Then we spend our evening playing/sleeping. Foster Mom says to let everyone know: I am crate trained. I go in easily with her saying," in your crate". I've had no accidents in the house and will go sit by the door when I need to go out. I have no food or toy aggressive behavior. If my foster siblings want it, I let them take it. There are no kids in my current home.  When kids approach me on the street, foster mom tells to them to come up to me slowly, one at a time, inside voices, and I let them pet me. When we go by a house with kids making lots of noise, bouncing balls, and skateboarding, I get nervous and pull to get away. I am good in the car, I easily jump in, sit and watch out window, or lay down. I'm not sure what to do with all these toys in my house, I've never seen toys before, but I'm watching what my siblings do with them, maybe in time I'll figure out what to do with them. Despite my having lived on the streets, I don't beg for food when foster Mom eats. I have shown no destructive behavior in the house except chewing on my bed a little (but foster siblings started it). Outside, I've dug a few holes, but if Foster Mom catches me and says no, I stop. I like to play with my foster siblings. However, I'm more interested in being snuggled and loved by humans, so I'd be ok without fur siblings. I go outside and do my business, and then come back in, but I was a wanderer in Georgia, so a fenced yard is probably best. If I sound too good to be true, you're right. im pretty awesome. If you are interested in giving me a furever home please apply!!
