Hi! My name is Maggie!! I am a 7 month old great pyrenees /retriever mix. I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. Everyone I meet tells me I am beautiful ! I am currently residing at my foster home with their 4 dogs and 5 cats and I just love to run and play with my friends. I am very gentle with other dogs but still like to wrestle like a puppy. I have met a few kids and am curious and cautious around them. Recently, I met a very small baby and I kissed his nose and licked his hands. I love when we have visitors come to the house and I’m the first one to give tail wags and greet them at the door with a friendly smile. When I was surrendered, they told the nice people at Hanks that I was being aggressive towards small children. The people only had me for a week. Since being with my foster parents, I have showed absolutely no signs of aggression towards anyone or anything. When my dog friends and I play with toys, I can get a little bossy and try to steal the toys back from them to have all for myself. I am still a puppy so my foster family thinks that's pretty normal behavior. I am very food motivated. I have had no troubles having treats around the other dogs, as long as I get my share too! I am fully house trained but still like it if you remind me to go outside before bed or I may forget. I sleep all through the night in my crate and take regular naps in there when my fosters have places to go or chores to do around the house. I am great on a leash and prefer to walk close to you instead of pulling. I have taken some adventures to hiking trails, water falls, stores, and other houses and have been on my best behaviour. Since joining my foster home, I’ve learned sit, down, wait, shake a paw, all done, and “time for bed”. I am an absolute cuddle bug and I enjoy jumping up on the couch or in bed with you if you’ll let me. If not, that’s okay, I will lay quietly at your feet. I’m quick to roll over and give anyone my belly for rubs if they want that too! I am a funny girl who loves when you are just there with me.
