My name is Harley, and i’m really glad you stopped by to say Hi ! Since coming to Canada I’m constantly learning how to be a good dog. My foster mom says i’m a quick learner. I’ve learned the words sit, down, no, off, kisses and treats! Treats is my favourite word and i’ll do anything for a good treat. I have learned to potty outside and will tell you when I need to go. We go to the dog park and love to run and play with the other dogs but i’m still learning dog talk since i’m young and i just don’t know all the rules yet. I like to think toys, balls and sticks are mine but when I’m told no I remember that I shouldn’t try to be bossy. I’m living with another dog and he’s pretty awesome, he lets me do whatever I want and he’s teaching me how to share and we are best of friends. We like to play and we play all day. My favourite games are fetch, tug of war, tag and I love to wrestle and chase… Sometimes I even let him win! I had never walked on a leash before and she now walks me with my foster brother and we even go into stores where i sit patiently until we are done. I walk really well with proper direction. When i meet people i get so excited that I do jump but once I’m told no I will listen and i’m sure with more training I’ll be perfect. I know the house rules and only chew and play with my own toys and don’t bother with anything else. Although I don’t live with a cat, I think I would be o.k. I have only seen one once but I didn’t have a bad reaction. I do like to sit at the window and see what’s going on out there, it is all very new and interesting to me. I’m a big puppy and have a lot of energy, a dog friend would be ideal but someone who goes on lots of adventures or can spend their time with me would be o.k too as I just love the attention. I am a lot of energy and am still learning that hands aren’t toys and I shouldn’t jump. My foster mom has taught me the word kisses, which means I should lick your hands instead. I’ve met some kids and I think they are pretty great but if i were in a home with kids older ones would be best as i am still learning to play gently and may knock the over. At night I love to cuddle, and watch tv with you too, i turn into that big lapdog who just wants your love. If you would like to adopt me please apply at: www.hankshaven.ca
